Sometimes mixing Handbag House is quite a task. If there's not enough new material, or if the tracks don't seem to gel very well together, it can lead to me agonising over them for weeks. Other times, everything just slots into place magically. This was one of those times. It allowed me to a be a bit more creative with the mixing, and out of the lot so far Side 10 was definitely received the most enthusiastically. I partly put that down to the fact I'd put a dance beat behind Leona's Bleeding Love, and it worked. While it was number one in the charts, everyone was itching to hear it - forgetting how slow it was. Yes, everyone would be mimicking the warbling, but it kinda killed the momentum of the dancefloor. A simple beat behind it for this mix proved to be more popular than I expected. It caught on like wildfire and within months it was, and still is, echoing throughout the UK's club scene!
